Class Information

Who can participate?

There are no real physical limitations to this. If you can hold a broom, you can do something on the flying trapeze. TrapezePro... has over 25 years of experience teaching beginners of all ages. We have taught many groups with special needs (deaf, physically or emotionally challenged) on the trapeze, and we teach 'normal' people all the time. The youngest 'flyer' we have worked with was 16 months old, the oldest 88 years; the heaviest we have seen was 405 pounds. We have a friend who is missing all the fingers on his left hand and he eventually bought his own flying trapeze rig to have in Massachusetts. So even if you think you cannot, you probably can!

Are classes suitable for children?

We understand that children are sometimes questionable as participants on the trapeze. Our experience has been that the majority of them DO like it and participate fully. As they require the same attention and focus from staff as do adults, there is not a discount for them. There are plenty of things for the children to do there even if they do not wish to go on the trapeze.

How long is a class?

Class is approximately 2 hours.

How much do classes cost?

We charge $45 per person to participate on the Flying Trapeze in our regularly scheduled classes (unfortunately no credit cards). Group bookings and events may be subject to different fees based upon many factors. Please feel free to contact us for group or corporate bookings.

How large are the classes?

Class size may vary depending upon your skill level and other factors. We can easily accommodate up to 10 or 12 participants at a time. For private bookings we would like a minimum enrollment and will do all we can to accommodate as many participants as you would like.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask you kindly observe our 36 hour cancellation policy. We understand unforseen events can cause changes in anyone's schedule, and each individual circumstance will be given its appropriate consideration. However, we do reserve the right to charge a fee for a missed class. There is no charge for classes cancelled by TrapezePro... due to inclement weather, but never assume the class is cancelled unless you hear from us.

What should I know before my first class?

All visitors coming to participate OR to watch the flying trapeze must complete and sign two waivers (one for TrapezePro... and one for the property owner). Minors need their parent or legal guardian to complete and sign the waivers please. If possible, please download these waivers ahead of time and bring the completed forms with you to your first class. We ask that participants arrive early to warm up properly, and if you have never been there before then try to arrive at least 15 minutes early for administrative needs.

What should I wear for class?

The best attire for the trapeze is tights (leggings) or leotards. You really want to have clothing that will not restrict or prevent your free movement. Track pants, work out clothes, T-shirts and sweat pants are usually best. No jeans or baggy clothing. You can fly with socks or barefooted, and having a pair of slip on sandals is nice for when you are not on the rig and walking around the grounds. Please tie back long hair.

What is the environment like at the rig?

The trapeze rig stands in the shade of a beautiful oak grove next to a babbling brook. People who have attended class always comment about how wonderful it is up there. The property has a trampoline and a low tight wire for use as well as picnic tables and benches. There is plenty of room and happy distractions for people and children (of all ages) to amuse themselves.

What if the weather is bad?

Because the trapeze rig is outdoors, weather is sometimes an issue. But please do not assume that we cancel because of a little sprinkle. The micro-climate of the ranch can differ dramatically from surrounding areas. We will attempt to notify everyone sufficiently before a cancellation. Kindly provide a number where you can be reached 90 minutes before class so we can let you know of last minute changes.
